Devon Haley Firestone was crowned Miss Rodeo Florida 2014 and will compete for the title of Miss Rodeo America in Las Vegas, Nevada. Here's a closer look at the 20 year old beauty from Zephyrhills, Florida.
Miss Firestone's strong family values and sweet southern charm just pour out of her and when asked where she derived the majority of her inspiration, she didn't not hesitate in giving her answer.
"My mom has been the most motivated, determined and persistent person I know. I am the lady I am today because of her and I am so thankful for that."
Devon is a 2011 graduate of Zephyrhills High School and is now majoring in Animal Science at St. Petersburg College. She has held numerous titles and modeled for a plethora of different companies.
As Miss Rodeo Florida 2014, Devon is working to promote her platform, Diabetes Awareness, which is a close personal issue to her and her family. She has worked alongside 8 Time PRCA World Champion Joe Beaver in promoting his Bold Enough To Wear Blue campaign, which helps to raise diabetes awareness.
It's clear that Devon has already carved a bright future and we can expect big things from her. When asked what she envisions for her future, Devon makes it clear that she is focused on God, family and success. She strives to embrace the western lifestyle daily and is always true to her values and ideals. Throughout her year of service, she will work to inspire adolescents and adults alike about the great sport of rodeo.
A true Florida girl, in her spare time Devon enjoys soaking up the sun and exercising. She also raises French Bulldogs and has a passion for bucking bull bloodlines.
