Amanda Spence is twenty-one years old and currently resides in the great state of Florida. She is in college pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. After completion of her degree, she plans to attend graduate school and become a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.

Amanda has a passion for rodeo and not only represented rodeo as Miss Teen Rodeo Florida 2006, and Miss Silver Spurs in 2007, but also as a competitor. She participated in Florida High School Rodeo and competed in Pee Wee Rodeos, barrel races and jackpots all over the state. As well as being a rodeo contestant, Amanda has been professionally trained in riding disciplines such as English, both over fences and on the flat, western pleasure, reining, barrel racing and even trick riding.

In addition to achieving one of her childhood dreams of becoming Miss Rodeo Florida, this past year, Amanda achieved another childhood dream, to become a professional animal trainer. She has worked in shows at local theme parks here in Florida and is blessed to be able to work with both domestic and exotic animals. Amanda loves her four legged friends dearly and is an advocate for animal welfare.

Amanda is so excited to represent Florida's amazing and talented rodeo contestants, fans and personnel and will continue to portray rodeos wholesome values and traditions while bringing a contemporary outlook into the arena. During her 2012 reign she will travel throughout Florida and the United States attending and promoting our wonderful state P.R.C.A. Rodeos and western events.

In December 2012, Amanda will represent Florida at the Miss Rodeo America Pageant held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
